Know what you believe and why you believe it. Because someday, you're going to be questioned about it. And your answer shouldn't be, "I believe it because my parents do!" If you answer that, people will laugh in your face.
Do you know what you believe? If so, why do you believe it?
The thing I find the strangest is that human beings tend to build a protective sheild around their heart and guard it like a diamond, only letting in the people they know they can trust. They should be building one around their life, only letting in people who influence them to do great things and make them happy.
I've been noticing a lot of really close friends of mine are going through some really tough times right now. I don't know the details-they're not mine to know-but I just wanted to remind you to keep your eyes on Christ because He knows what's in your heart. He knows the pain, grief, and hopelessness you're feeling. I know trials in this life are hard and they seem so impossible to overcome but I'm reminding you all, please don't give up. Give it all to our glorious God in heaven! His wonderful love for us is unconditional and never-ending and He WILL get you through this. Remember, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" (Philippians 4:13)
There are fine things which you mean to do some day, under what you think will be more favorable circumstances. But the only time that is surely yours is the present, hence this is the time to speak the word of appreciation and sympathy, to do the generous deed, to forgive the fault of a thoughtless friend, to sacrifice self a littl...e more for others. Today is the day in which to express your noblest qualities of mind and heart, to do at least one worthy thing which you have long postponed, and to use your God-given abilities for the enrichment of someone less fortunate. Today you can make your life significant and worthwhile.
This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good.
