"He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our sins. The
punishment that brought us peace, was upon him. And by his wounds we are
healed."

I survived...........

Well, I've survived the first full week of my Junior year unharmed!!!!!!! *applause*  The wagon races are in town along with a whole bunch of nutcases (well, except my BFF........  she's not a nutcase).  I am on the Newspaper staff at school and they've asked me if I can / would / could write a brief summary of what I've gone through with my adoption, and how adoption is an awesome option for a teen who gets pregnant instead of abortion.  There's a girl on the staff with me and she's doing a short informative article on teen pregnancy, the mother's options, and what happens next (i.e. what happens next if the baby is adopted (like me) and what options the mother has for every seeing her baby again).

I've also been reading my Bible a lot this week, even though I got called a few names that put a damper on my spirit.......  but that won't stop me any more.  They can call me what they want because I know who I really am.....  I am a daughter of the King of Kings, and no one can take that away form me.  Wow, I think this is the longest enrty I've written.  I found something in the Bible that I thought was pretty cool......  I call it "The characteristics of your Perfect Prince Charming".  I found this in 1 Timothy 3 vs 1-9.

Your Perfect Prince Charming (adapted slightly to fit today's world):
Your Perfect P.C. must

 1.  must be above reproach
 2.  the husband of one wife
 3.  self-controlled
 4.  respectable
 5.  hospitable
 6.  an able teacher
 7.  not a drunkard (or alcholic if you want to be politically correct)
 8.  not violent, but gentle
 9.  not contentious
10.  free from the love of money
11.  he must manage his own household well (in other words, he can help keep it clean, do his (an possibly your) laundry, ect.)
12.  keep his children in control without losing his dignity
13.  he must not be a recent convert (or he may be come arrogant and fall into the punishment that the devil will exact)
14.  he must be well thought of by those outside the faith (so that he may not fall into disgrace and be causght by the devil's trap)
15.  he must be dignified
16.  he must not be two-faced
17.  not given to excessive drinking
18.  not greedy for gain
19.  holding to the mystery of faith with a clear conscience

I feel most of these apply well to everyday life.......  just don't set your standards too high, girls.

With love,
Bella Nikki
